Default Buying wine in the Swan Valley

Can anyone recommend a good winery in the swan valley to visit and purchase local wines at a reasonable price.

Looks tobe lots of choice around that area and not to far to travel.

Thanks

Have a day out and sample as many as you can to find which you like. Don't forget the Chocolate factory while you are there.

Thanks for the replies, yes we would love to spend the whole day sampling wines, but we are limited on time as we will have our daughter with us, but the chocolate factory may come in handy.

Quite often it is cheaper to buy the wines from the bottlo rather than the winery. So go tatse testing, wite down what you like and you will probably find the same bottle $5 or $6 cheaper.

Sometimes. I bought a couple of cases of Madfish red for $145 (or $12/bottle) at their place in Margaret River. They delivered it to Perth for free as well. The cheapest I could find the same wine in Perth for was $15/bottle. My local bottle store had it for $18.

I'm quite partial to the Marginata Classic White or the Verdelho from Jarrah Ridge. Houghton's is good too.

Quite a few operators do daily wine tours plus lunch and cheese platters.
