Question Buy flights now or later?

Can anyone help with this minor dilema!

We are looking to go to Australia in September and have been looking at flights which are currently coming up around £470 pp which seems okay. Now the big question is should be we book as early as possible or is it better to wait till last minute and book flights about a week or two before we are due to leave?

Can see both sides of the argument and we are crap at making decisions so just go round in a circle weighing each side up so would be good to have someone else's opinion!

Thanks for the reply.

It would be interesting though if you did stick it out and wait what the prices would be like - I don't have the courage to do that though!!

I'd agree. Buy now if you can get those prices! We've been caught out like that before, thinking that if there were still seats available a few weeks before we wanted to go, they would be cheaper. No chance! We've just come back from Sydney, and bought our tickets last September when they were reasonable. Go for it and then sit and count the days until you go!

Hi there, we have just booked our flights for 18th May from Manchester to Brisbane at a total cost of £2170 for 2 adults and 1 child, with 2 nights accommodation. When we first knew that we had to do a recce I left if for a while only to find that the price had increased by nearly £600 so I would suggest that you book them asap. Good luck.

If you find a good deal then book it, better that than wait to save a few pounds only to then find prices shoot up or are fully booked!
