Not a fan of quickies but no, currently not sure I have enough to waste on a train ride from here to Brissie.

Well you might have to go on Richard Branson's space plane thingy, but I hear the inflight service isn't so great.

Does anyone know if the Thai Airways Business Class Awards flights booked with US Airways miles via US Airways allow date changes at no charge/fee please?

Thai Airways website says they are if bought and paid for in the usual manner but I wondered if the same applies if booked as an Award flight with US Airways miles.
Many thanks

The only conditions which apply to flights booked using US Airways miles are the Dividend Miles terms & conditions - the operating airlines rules are not relevant. Once ticketed changes will cost you $150 per person and you can only change to a date where there are available award seats. Once you have started travel absolutely no changes are possible i.e. you cannot change your return date once at your destination.

Can't for the life of me remember if you need your passport and expiry date when booking with US Awirways - my daughter's has gone to be renewed and I have the number but not the expiry. Can some good soul remind me what is required.
Cheers

Singapore Airlines have recently announced the introduction of a 4th daily flight to LHR using the 777-300ER which has the same business class as the A380.

I noticed it shows business class availability on many days that I looked at including around Xmas...might be a mistake or a temporary thing. No idea if it will come back confirmed if US try to book the seats...but if anyone fancies trying...! :fingerscrossed:

Thanks jamesflorraine, have just booked my daughter's flight for our son's wedding next year. Have now to decide how long we are going for and get ours booked. Only hiccup was that the flights I was told had been held until 24th June hadn't actually been held at all but amazing agent sorted things out and my daughter is really excited that she is travelling Thai Business.
Thanks again bcworld and everyone else who helps.
Cheers

:thumbsup:Hi everyone
Have now booked our own flights into Brisbane and home from Sydney. All done in 20 minutes but had to wait almost 15 mins for dept who worked out the taxes. Only hiccup was the agent, who was excellent, but booked our return from Bangkok to Frankfurt, on Sunday evening instead of Saturday, giving us an overnight stop in Bangkok. Now that would have been fine on the way out. Phoned back with no real hopes of them altering it but again got a really good agent. She couldn't get award travel on the Saturday from Sydney so moved our return flights from Saturday to Sunday, to link up. An extra day in Oz - can't be bad. So looking forward to our second holiday in Oz and first to Brisbane.
Cheers everyone:):):)

Hi bcworld - March / April 2013. Was trying to book last month and was almost in despair as Thai were showing no availability but thankfully you were able to tell me to hold on as they are slow in putting their flights forward and sure enough, that's exactly what happened. I don't know how you get hold of all your info but there are a fair few on this forum who are grateful for it.
Cheers again from a very wet Glasgow
PS did take your advice and travelling EDI - FRA - BKK - BNE and same back except from Sydney alleviating the need to go through Heathrow.

FRA - nice choice! Will either be new A380 or 777 both with full lie flat beds!
