Have followed this thread on and off for the past year and have now spent the last two evenings reading through the entire thread...phew! Can't say I understood all of it, and will have to try and recall my 'airline head' for some of the codes and terminology...
BC World you have all my 'karma' coming your way; Many thanks to all the other members who have worked hard to help figure out the best deals, routes etc.
I have now signed-up myself and hubby for the US Airways bonus points, hoping to take advantage of a business class flight back to the UK next year (my first since moving here in 2007), so no doubt will be on at some stage asking some (not too stupid I hope!) questions.
Til then, happy travels!

Hi - I also got lots of help last year when booking flights so glad to help here. This is the link
http://www.usairways.com/en-US/divid.../getmiles.html
I take it you have joined U S Airways scheme and have your number, LOG IN on top right, number and password on the next page. This should take you to the 100% bonus page. Good luck

Bought an additional 50,000 (25,000 + 25,000) for myself and my wife last night, so we now have 150,000 each - roll on next April for First class returns to Europe.
Total cost US$1475 for the first 100,000 plus US$940 for the next 50,000, making a total of US$2415 for a First class return ticket - probably about the same in A$ as the first lot was bought last July when the exchange rate was US$1.05.
Also paid US$35 to renew my subscription to the KVS flight finder - now all I have to do is wait for April flights to become available and book! Going First means we will need to drive down to Sydney and leave the car with Liz's mum - not a problem as we need to take the dog down there anyway.

Correct. We'd just finished the trip with our first 120,000, arrived back in Brisbane in June 2011, and in July US Airways had another 100% promotion so we started our bank for 2013!

Note there is no 'gift' promo running...it's been all about buying only for a while now.

Sorry Melstra...I never even thought to look as they certainly didn't advertise that. T&Cs have varied but you might be able to benefit from both buy AND gift...didn't read too closely.

From my reading of T&C looks like that might be the case. But it does say offer cannot be combined with any other offer,so maybe need to try and see.
