Hi everyone!
I am planning on heading to Bunbury area when I get my little orange visa sticker :D but am worried about making friends.
Are there any meets in this area for me and my cherubs to come along too??
Thanks

Hi Mandy

We're a long way from actually getting there (our visa app goes off beginning of Sept.) but we're also thinking of the Bunbury area to settle.

I'm sure there are meetups going on - type bunbury in the search and see what comes up - I'm sure I've seen people on here talking about that.

How old are your cherubs? What visa are you going on? Do you have a date to fly yet? (sorry 20 questions!)

Take care and maybe I'll be joining you for a meet up in Bunbury one day!!

Alex :D

Try this forum, it specialises in the SW. Bridie used to organise a lot before the bub but I am sure they still do something.

HI Alex
Good luck with your application. It will be you heading off before you know it - looking back i cant believe how quickly it has all gone!! I am pretty much at the last hurdle now (hope i dont trip it over!) My meds will all be arrivin at LCU on Wednesday then it is just joining the waiting room AGAIN!! There are long delays there at the moment apparantly :( I had hoped to be there before christmas but Im not sure i can see it happening now - more over cos i need to sell my house and its still not moving
Im going on a 136 visa. Its just me and my 2 kids (ages 14 &12) who are going straight off. My eldest is 19 and he is going to validate and then come back to finish his uni degree before makin his mind up. I am in denial about leaving him behind if i am honest
Hope to see you there before too long - if there are no regular meets we will have to start our own :D Stay in touch
Mandy

Hi Mandy

My partner Frank and I are moving to Bunbury in October 2007 and would love it if there was a meet group. If there isn't one then I wouldn't mind helping set one up. Do you know which area in Bunbury you will be living in??

Hi Mandy:thumbup:

We've not decided yet where to settle in Bunbury, we are going to contact some estate agents by email before we go, tell them what we are looking for and then wait until we get there to have a look at the different areas. I'll keep you posted when I get a reply from the E/Agents. We don't want to stay too far outside the city. We have stayed there overnight before when we were on holiday 2yrs ago and liked it, but it's a bit different living there!!

It's just Frank and myself going (no kids), Frank's are all grown up now (not that were old codgers or anything) 44(me) & 52(Frank). Frank's retired from the Fire Service and I worked in Recruitment for Royal Mail. What about yourself Mandy, what do you and yours do??

Hi Angie,

Not sure where we will go yet going to have a good look round but like the look of Australind at the moment but that could all change
We are a family of five, OH, me and three teenagers (aaahhhh).

I have noticed lots of people go to NOR or Rockingham /Safety Bay, so its good that theres a few going southwest.

Daunted just let us know when your arriving and the wine will be chilling.

No worries Mandy , didn't mean to scare you, it's just a saying "It's different being on holiday somewhere than it is living there". We can't wait to go, is it red or white wine by the way??
