Hi guys just a quick question can anyone advise if we will be able to afford a good life living on the goldcoast my salary being 75k and partners 50k.
There is only the 2 of us so no kids to think about.

are you kidding?! You'll be absolutely fine! Unless that's 75000p.

125k AUD is about £53k - which will buy you a comfortable lifestyle.

Will you also have big bucks to put down on a house or are you going to rent?

No we will be renting first of all, do you know what sort of mortgage we will be able to afford on those salarys.

Someone on the forum earlier was saying hes heard its about x5 1/2 or something like that... but im not sure .Hopfully someone will answer when Australia has wakes up (its the middle of the night now)

That's what I had worked it out to be from the figures on the tv show. Nearly 6x the salary. I have no idea if it's true, hence asking the question. Nobody has replied yet though.

OK say I get a 500k mortgage does anyone know what the repayments would be a month on this.
