Default Budget SpreadSheet

Please find attached a budget spreadsheet - this is only as I find it here in Oz

It gives people an idea on prices of everyday living - you can change the costs but be aware things always cost more than you think

Any help let me know, happy to assist

First stab at this so be kind and remember this is our families findings and yes we do budget shop, only buy necessities, fruit/veg at markets and meat at wholesale butchers.

Just been looking at your spreadsheet (which is great for my husband and I as we are about to head out to Australia), and it has raised a couple of questions for me;

1. Wondered if you have allowed for tax payments anywhere?
2. Whereabouts are you based with those figures, obviously some cities are more expensive than others (and we get Sydney costs)

Hi Bikergirl

1. All salary figures get converted from Gros to Net pay

Net pay is after taxes, benefits, etc. Gross pay is what the company tells you that they will pay you. Net pay is what you actually take home.

Also none of my figures take into account Super (pension payments) you have to make sure its on top of any salary payments and not in your salary as then you’re Net pay will be even less

2. Were based in Adelaide (Happy Valley)

Very helpful spreadsheet, thanks for that. Just one thing I noticed you add the yearly family allowance onto yearly salary (E9 + E13), then you divide the annual salary to a weekly amount at B9 but add back onto the sum the weekly family allowance. Or have I got it wrong (hopefully ).

Thanks again.

I think it's obvious that its per month and not per week!
I have just broken the price down so you can see on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annually

Unless you can get 2 slabs of Beer of $18 and Domino Pizza - 3 Large + 2 sides for $7 then please let me know !

I've had some time on my hands. I must update it, been some new stuff since I did it. The hardest part was making 'names' for some of the dishes - Bob's in particular
