My first reaction was WA, and not on the coast!!

But I googled it, and after lots of links to the one in WA, I came across:
http://www.citybeachsurf.com.au/cams.asp?cam=1350

Gold Coast, QLD

I think it's just a beach, not a place, cos mosts links still lead me to WA....

I found it really funny how this show was presented for UK TV.

In NZ Aussie surf life saving was often presented on saturday afternoons as a serious sports show (and it is taken very seriously as was apparent on the show tonight).

And it was usually called something bland like "Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships"....

but exactly the same type of highlights show is repackaged for the UK as 'bronzed aussie gods'! And the blurb says something about the 'land of the eternal suntan'.....!

very interesting to see how it is repackaged for the UK market, and it explains a lot about how Australia is so mythologised in the UK.

'bronzed aussie gods'! I'm still laughing....

I actually got quite bored halfway through, but my 10 yr old daughter was hooked, it must have been the 15 yr old boy lifesavers that did it for her!
