Hi, not sure of any british shops in the brissy area, but there is one at Robina Town Centre, on the Gold Coast, which is not too far from the theme parks.

There is one in sanctuary cove which is the exit before or after Dreamworld and the same one as movieworld - head for hope island then head for sanctuary cove - its a lovely marina place, nice place to go for a coffee / meal on the waterside. Lovely place to kill an hour or two. The english shop mostly sells sweets .Bisto is now for sale here and called 'oooh' gravy or something silly - it is bisto even tho the name is differnet its same box made in same place as proven by my 7yr olds taste buds.

There was a British shop at Victoria/Wellington Point, but it closed due to DIMIA revoking the owners visa and sending them home. Seems they came up a litttle turnover short of the required yearly amount, not taking into account the fact they have been in business for years and employed several local people. Obviously not too much demand for British shops in SE Qld. How long will the one at Sancturary Cove last before DIMIA send them to the wall....?

Saw them threatened with it on the news - didn't realise they had lost their appeal. Bummer. Wasn't the shortfall some small tax amount they had not be en aware of or something.

The gravy is called 'Soooh' gravy although may not have as many oo's and is Bisto. Walkers Crisps are Walkers Crisps but called Chips.

There is a very small British shop in Redcliffe up one of the Arcade alley's even has Blackpool Rock in.

How ridiculous. Talk about a lack of rationale. I bet the consequentially jobless Aussies felt tip-top about their governments over zealous application of policy!!

Surely, in this case, with the margin being so small, DIMIA could have given some flexibility to the owners?

There's a small British sweetie shop in the pathway/tunnel under Central (train) station. There's a couple of entrances but I'm pretty sure it's actually on the other side of the ticket turnstile thingys. From memory we walked downhill along the corridor, it was on the left and around the corner from it were stairs/lift to...somewhere...can't remember if it was platform or street.

But it's in there. All that mattered to us was Irn Bru so not sure what else they sell. Dime bars. Pot Noodle. Prawn Cocktail crisps

If you had it before the change you were ok... no new ones allowed from now unless you cough up the cash.

Its next to the food court, just before you get to the escalators up to the platform. Last shop but one, on your left hand side.
