Brit Guy moving to Oz
Hey there,
This is prob one of the most commen threads but need some help!
Moving over in the next few months on a Working Holiday Visa (if a role that I am currently applying for sponsorship does not come off), already been looking at accommodation in Sydney or Perth via Gumtree, looks fairly straight forward. Going to start temping or contract work to try and get a perm role with sponsorship. What other basics do I need to consider? Any tips/bits of advice greatly appreciated!

haha yeah I agree compared to UK alcohol is super expensive in aus,
We also don't have off licenses
Cost wise I find Sydney on comparison with living in London except I find groceries and alcohol a bit more expensive but it kind of balances out cos the wage is higher here in aus for most things. You may find pubs and going out more expensive than Manchester.
If you can come towards November when Summer is starting. Winter is just as rubbish here as the UK.
I've spent some time in Manchester, lived in London for a bit and am now back in Sydney for a year or so so if you need any specific tips or anything let me know
Oh yeah not sure what work you do but unless your amazingly amazing in your field I think sponsorship is pretty hard to get. If you want a second year whv you need to do 3 months of fruit picking as well.
