As for the Bloke's mutterings; maybe you should think about taking orft yer witchy hat in bed? Perhaps even parking the broomstick outside the house instead of next to yer bedhead??!!
Donna, it were a bit noisy, eh? We had a REALLY loud clap of thunder at one stage accompanied by a sky lit up like daytime (made me duck - that type, ya know?!) and lost power to all powerpoints, the overhead lights were still on, so I knew it'd just tripped the power. I was heading for the door to go outside and reset the power box (at the furthest end of the house - outside ) when first MrP, then me Ma both asked if I'd like to take a brolly. "No fear", said I, "I'd rather get wet than carry a bloody metal stick over me head in this weather!" (Had visions of being struck by lightning - it was that close!)
Anyway, it all fizzled out pretty quickly, but it's nice and cool this morning.
