Default Brisbane Temporary Accommodation

I've just arrived in Brisbane and am currently staying with a friend. However I'll need to get some temporary accommodation for a few weeks up until I fly back for christmas in the UK. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to look? I'd like somewhere in the city. Do they have the equivalent of bedsits over here?

Hi,
It's coming up to the summer holidays for the uni students at the moment. It might be possible to find a room for short term rent via one of the campus noticeboards if that suits you. I've also seen adverts for rooms on noticeboards at train stations.

Good luck!
TC

Good idea TopCat - I'll try that. Thanks.
