Re: Brisbane ruder than Sydney
What a story.....
One person, who runs an etiquette consultancy, says it is, as is probably looking at opening a branch in Brisbane to fix the 'problem'
Having lived in both, I reckon they are both much the same.
You can get charming people everywhere, and rude ones everywhere too.

"In Sydney CBD, people can be quite charming," she says.

I saw this article yesterday and thought it was such a non-story it wasn't worth mentioning - she doesn't give a single example of how Brisbane is ruder than Sydney - the Gen Y stuff seems to refer to anywhere.
I don't think Brisbanites are any different from any other Australian city dwellers in terms of either rudeness....or 'laidbackness'......well until they get in their cars anyway!

It's like the way there was an article today in the free rag explaining how backpacker trips taught 'skills'. I reckon it broadens the mind, and is a popular thing to do in a good gap year but I don't think it makes a young person instantly marketable per se...
