What's your honest opinion of Perth and the people?

Over the Eastern states and considering a move.

Victoria's the best state to live in.

Perth a small city surrounded by desert in the middle of no where.
Sydney's too big crowded, crime.
Brisbane's too hot in summer no beaches nearby.

I love it here. It's the best place in Australia. You either 'get' it or you don't. I'm glad that we are closer to Asia than the east coast. I have no time for SE Queensland or Sydney. I know plenty of people who have moved over from the East who will never go back. Isolation is a state of mind.
Perth is not a small city. It is much bigger than most cities in the UK. Everything you need is here. Our economy is red hot and should stay that way for at least the next few years. I am not ashamed to say that people with my skills are top of the pile here and I could not make more money anywhere else in Australia. In fact the only place in the world where I could make more is probably London. I admit that making really good money does make Perth a more attractive place to me, it enables me to get the things I want and to provide a great future for my family.

Come and get your slice of it!

Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback.

Tossing up between Perth and Cairns at the moment. It's a hard choice
