Three and Vodafone are the same company so your Three/Vodafone data allowance can be used on Three/Vodafone network.

Oh, you're talking about 3 mobile. Gotcha.
I've used Three for 2.5 years now with no major issues. Sure, you may not always get coverage and sometimes there may be contention issues, but I'm not often in rural areas and my communications aren't exactly critical so I find it cost effective. It works great 95% of the time or more. |

Do you mean purchasing a property is cheaper than renting? I find that very hard to believe. Investors would buy up all the stock.

No calm down, that's another thread ;) I mean purchasing is cheaper in Toowong than West End (or you get more for your money) - as opposed to renting. We're not haven't much luck with this written word malarky :)

what state schools exist ? There are three state primary schools, all excellent. A huge benefit of living close to the city is the state primary schools are usually very good schools. Depending on which part of Ashgrove you live you may fall into the catchment of Oakleigh, Ithaca Creek (Bardon) or Ashgrove primary schools. Ithaca Creek needs a few more students to get over a quota for an extra teacher so they are currently considering out of catchment students for next year. |

I still don't understand that. Are you saying the relative differences between buying and renting for the two areas are skewed? e.g. 100% premium to buy versus rent in suburb A, 75% premium to buy versus rent in suburb B.

Sorry, I could have made that clearer.

It works great 95% of the time or more. Sitting in my office in Melb CBD now I get very poor 3 reception. I can do the old iPhone4 death grip trick and off it goes 'Searching...'. There are areas in the suburbs where I get '5 bars' & '3G' but absolutely no internet coverage. When I worked in Sydney I could be on the train from the Harbour Bridge all the way out to Chatswood and be roaming the whole way! The irony was I was working for Vodafone Hutchison at the time...the signal in the office was great! So I think 3 coverage is patchy, sure you can roam, but we all use data now and that costs $s. |

Only a guess bit it seems that way. West End homes cost a fortune but are often run down and surrounded by other round down homes. Guess you are paying for the location/land a lot of the time. They are often rented out to young people cheaper because of this. Toowong houses are not as expensive but have lots of big family houses in good condition so guessing the rent they command is stronger on average.
