Brisbane & Gold Coast Experts?
Any idea on any of these?
Weekly rental of a 3 bed property. Ok, how long is a piece of string?? ...lol.
One with a pool ,one without! ..... any easier? ........ average ?!
I think Ashmore at the Gold Coast is roughly a 15 min drive to the sea, but any idea how long to hit the sea from the centre of Brisbane ??
And I'm aware The Gold Coast is very commercialised, but will your average weekly shop for example be THAT much dearer there over Brissie?
Any idea's anyone?
Thanks

The course is 3 days at The Gold Coast, and possibly 2 days in Brisbane. OR all 5 in Brisbane! so commuting I've been told is an hour ?!?!
Just gotta try and decide if Brissie or GC is gonna be better overall.
I can't help feel the GC will be a lot more expensive, but you never know!
Every time someone tells me they love me, I reply I love you too!
ppl will talk tho! ...rofl

(hehehehehe - that should start some tongues wagging!)
Well if this helps, my brother lived in Ashmore but went to Uni when he did his masters in Brissie. He drove to Nerang Train Station every day & caught the train straight thru to Brissie Central..... he then took a boat or ferry (or smething) across the river to get to Uni. He says the whole journey took about 50 mins..... Maybe thats worth considering??

We're back to hopefully getting out there for a few weeks in July/Aug to have a look around so will check it all then, but just puttin the feelers out for now

www.realestate.com.au is great as it doesn't just have real estate for sale, also has long term rentals and holiday rentals.
When I am not on here I can be found on there

Food, ave familles seem to be spending around the $200 a week, plenty say $250 and a few less.
The grocery stores in OZ are owned by 2 main players, any suburb of the gold coast will cost almost the same as any suburb of brisbane.

A three bed basic house in my area is about $250pw. No pool. Rentals with pools are not that common, as most landlords have to maintain them themselves.
When I drive to the Gold coast, it takes me about an hour, and I think that it should be about the same or maybe a bit less from Brisbane CBD. Although rush hour traffic in Brisbane may alter that a bit.

I just noticed the comment "The grocery stores in OZ are owned by 2 main players", and wonder if the fact that our area has main grocery stores owned by 4 different companies, has anything to do with our seemingly cheaper grocery costs to some people. ?
