Hi, weve just arrived in Adelaide and husband brought a car on saturday, then on monday he just drove around all the building sites we had spotted and got offered job straight away which he started on Tuesday. He was struggling a bit with the heat on Tuesday!!! He starts at 7am, stop for a break at 12 then finish at 3.30pm, hope this helps, Michelle

Re: "Bricklayers"
I am a bricklayer in Perth, work has definitely slowed down, the work in Australia is much harder than in the UK and the rates are droping. a friend of mine was earning $270 per day, on friday the foremen said he was droping the rates to $250 per day for the whole gang anyone who doesn't like it can go it's hard for every bricklayer and if you speak to any supervisor they say that it's only going to get worse. I hope not. Good luck I hope it all works out for you.

UK - economy is flat, inflation is steady, hence interest rates are falling in an attempt to stave off recession. |
