Default Brampton Island - anyone been?

Hi everybody!

We have decided that it is nearly time for a holiday and quite fancy the look of Brampton Island in the Whitsundays, probably in August.

Any body got any opinions of the place? Will the weather be good enough for a beach holiday in August?

Thanks!

No kids here, so a couples place would do just nicely.

Hi Vics
me and the Wife (back then girlfriend) spent a few days there in 2001. It really is as nice as it looks. Definatley not for kids, takes a couple of hours to walk around the island.

I am so jealous that you are planning on going, not much to do but relax which is just perfect for a recharge.

Any more questions just ask

We were over last September.....island is fab....resort is what ye pay for, but very clean food is good loads of facilities and free watersports(non motorised)

Need to watch out for stingers though until mid March.

The ferry accross from Yeppoon is $30 return or u can fly from Rocky airport for hmmmm$50pp each way me thinks.....in a we 4 seater plane looks fab lol

We flew over
the airplane is like a flying pencil. The pilot looked at us and said "i have to say this info for flight saftey" he then pointed at the door and said "thats how you get out". It was fantastic. He had to do a fly by the landing strip as there were a load of kangaroos on it to scare them away.

Get yourself there
