Many congratulations. I think it would best be celebrated by doing some jobs over at ours .

I looked at the anniversaries and what type they are and I am sure men did the original ones and women took over for the modern ones

Year Traditional Modern
Year 10 Traditional=Tin Modern=Diamond
Year11 Traditional=Steel Modern=Fashion jewellery
Year 12 Traditional=Silk Modern=Pearls/coloured gems (Lets face it if a man had this one it would be knickers
Year 13 Traditional= Lace modern=Textiles/furs (See point above)

It's all mining. Maybe someone ran out of tin and just had these pretty rock things laying around instead that just had to do?

Nah its all advertising. Its all run by a secret group of bitter hard done by wimmin. You just know that if man was in charge the modern ones would go something like

1st Paper ---> Knickers
2nd Cotton ---> Knickers
3rd Leather ----> Knickers (in our dreams )
4th Linen (Silk)---> Knickers
7th Wool (Copper) ----> Knickers (ooh itchy)

...and if wimmin really had done them, we would have got our priorities right, e.g.

5th Salvatore Ferragamo
10th Minolo Blahnik
25th Jimmy Choo
etc....

You get the idea

Anya.

Hmmmm.... if the 5th is 'wood', which one is 'wouldn't', then?

(Bordy & Mrs Bordy: sorry for hi-jacking your thread with terrible puns - but I guess that, after 25 years of married life, you could do with a laugh )
