Default Booster Seats in Queensland

Hi

Have done a search but its still not very clear.

I understand British car seats are not legal in Australia but what about booster seats.

Regards

When we visited on our reccie we asked the hire car company for a booster for my 3 year old to be told it's not necessary but i insisted, his booster was a very similar one to here so i wouldnt imagine there being a problem as it is not attatched to the car like a baby seat is. Unless they have different regulations to our EU Standards.

Someone told me they are changing the legislation about the booster seats. So that they have to have a harness and not just use the seat belt to restrain the child. I am not sure how accurate this is, but will probably get hubby to check with Kidsafe when we pick up the baby capsule we are hiring from them.
