I'm a bit bored of Perth thinking of moving to Melbourne has anyone else done the same?

I think the weather is less hot and the travel Opportunities are better.

Any thoughts?

Australia is boring and not Europe.

Weather can be hotter than Perth some summer days, but the average would be cooler.

Why are you bored though? What did you do before you moved to Perth that you don't now, and will you be able to do that in Melbourne?

Melbourne does have a vast amount to do, I literally cannot squeeze enough hours in the day for everything I want to do outside work. But I also know of people who say they are bored in Melbourne, so I reckon it's a personal thing.

Joondalup is about to become a whole lot more exciting!

We were in Perth for 7yrs then moved to Melbourne.We are a lot happier in Melbourne,been here 14 yrs.Would have moved sooner were it not for family circumstances.

Really why is that then?

Tazmania, NZ, Fiji, Sydney etc etc... low cost airlines....everywhere is so far away from Perth

It can't get any more exciting - the shopping centre is already open for 5 hours in Sundays!

OK you may be right but why not Sydney then?

That's 5 more hrs than it's open here, although I can shop at Coles until 9 every night

How do you do that?

I'm still in QLD.

I c. But I thought shops stayed open that late just on late night shopping nights (Thursdays and Fridays).

Normal shops like BigW ect are only open late on a Thursday, Coles & Woolies are open until 9 and 10pm.
