Default best web sites to read on oz!

Just in the very 1st stages of move to oz and am unsure best place to hit. Work as a plasterer but do not want site work. Thinking in the suburbs of a meduim city.

This is a good site comparing the different parts of Australia. http://www.livingin-australia.com/

Also take a look on some job site's to get an idea of what you may what to do and where those particular jobs are. www.seek.com.au

have done assessment(skilled independant) and pass if i do worse case sceniero. Just deciding to go for agency or not. Trying to work out costs for or against.

If you've done your skills assessment, then I'd say the next bit is pretty straight forward really. As long as you don't have any major concerns, then do it yourself. We will all help no problem.

The main application is around £850.


Then there is medicals, these costs vary, but ours were £110 per adult for medical, £52 each for x ray (all over 11), and £25 each for HIV blood test. You will have about 4 - 5 months to get these done

Also £10 each for police check (over 16's)

yes my eldest is 17 but unsure if she will take the plunge and might return to her mother(tuff call)

Well unfortunately for you, she will still need to have a medical, sorry.

All your dependants need to have health and character checks regardless of whether they are migrating or not. You will also have to have your ex's permission in writing or a court order saying you have sole responsibility before they will let you have a visa.

is dependant 18 in oz as this will be the case nxt year!
