Read on some of the forums about expat shield - are there any others that are better/worth considering

In my experience the other options seem to be unreliable or they cost (i.e. for a VPN). Sometimes Expat Shield is slow so I download via the desktop iPlayer and view at my leisure.

For live events it seems very hit and miss quality and reliability-wise with the streaming sites I have used (from various countries). Bearable for cricket but golf ... not sure that little white ball is going to fare too well

I believe Hotspot Sheild will get you US IP Address for free but I've not used it so can't comment on the reliability.

I used identity cloaker....google it, have had no problems at all with it

It's not free though, costs about $100 for the year, I think you can pay month by month.

I know you can get free ones but I think they are a bit hitty missy and I personally would rather pay for reliability

Thanks for advice - much appreciated and I will investigate further

There are some streams here (some require other software to be downloaded), the quality is extremely variable but it's better than nothing sometimes
