Lightbulb Best regional place in WA

Hi Friends,

Please enlighten me, which is the best regional place in regard of the following:

* Job Opportunities (Can get any kind of job easily)

* Easy available and reasonable accomodation rates

* Have some entertainment stuff

* In short, can settle easily.

I specially requesting all those friends to share their valuable views who are already or planned to live and work in regional WA.

Thanks a lot.

In in regional/rural WA. However its pretty big town as regional hub for Mid West.
Its Geraldton and right on the coast and we like it. As do several Uk families working here. Well my GP says most of the town is expat!
Its changed quite a bit in last year or two.
New marina, new waterpark on beach front, new parks, new housing estate, new museum etc.

This town is booming at the moment. We have two job agencies and always has jobs board out.

Also they are about to start building a big port just outside of the town, with rail links for mines etc. So again even more jobs coming for this.

Lots of building work going on with new houses etc. Ive heard people going on about trade jobs joiners, plasters in Perth. However in Geraldton we get advertisements from country builder asking for workers in our local paper regular. As house building is still popular and prob need more for the port workers.

Also have a regional prison just outside of town. This also recruits yearly, and quite recently. For experienced and new recruits as warders.

If your unskilled then plenty of work, as lots of holiday parks/accommodation in town too.

Regional, you need big places like Kalgoorlie, Albany and Geraldton. No problem for wife or hubby to work in my town, or even the kids!
However we are just over 4 hours away from Perth but near tourist places.
