Default Best camp sites in QLD.

Whats the best camp site youve stayed on? We have 2 kids as well 3yrs and 13yrs so would like some bits for the kids to do onsite, and good stuff off site too. Our oldest likes fishing, I love the views, walks scenery, and other half likes to surf. All like a bit of nite life too.
Brought a tent yesterday..never camped in my life well apart from the brownies :scared: so am up for peoples suggestions and experiences. Thinking of heading to Byron bay next weekend for a little tester as its only about 1 1/2hrs drive away.(we live on the gold coast.)

Hiya Sharon.....Not been camping but i have been to Byron bay - and it's lovely.... it's got a really nice village feel to it plenty bars & shops and the beach is gorgeous...not sure if there's a camp site or not but i should imagine there must be one...

Hope you have good time..

We went to Bryon bay a few weeks ago and to be honest save your petrol and don't bother. When i told the lads at work we went there they all laughed and said what for, sorry to say but i sort of agree with them now.

Clarke's beach camp site on the beach at Byron Bay. Went last week with 2 other families had a great time. Surfed at Watego's beach, water is so clear and dolphin's, rays & turtles. Take a trip upto the lighthouse, beautifull.
Can't wait to go back.

The other prick must of had his head up his arse!!!
