Best Australian Discovery...
There is probably another thread stating this exact same question, but I will ask it again anyway...
What's the best thing you have discovered now that you have moved Down Under?
It can be anything, a food, a sport, an animal, a certain beach, a place, anything you like!
J
PS. If anyone comes up with a response like "I've discovered how S**T it is here", it will be noted as a 'troll' comment, and reported as such...Positive replies only please!

For me, off the top of my head and ignoring all the general life stuff, I have found Wasabi and Soy chips and Thai Ginger and Lime chips. My life is complete

I don't know if it's the best but probably one of the nicer things is the birdlife (that's actual BIRDS fellas!). Yes yes there are plenty of birds in the UK, but the colour and variety here just continues to astonish us both. Only today while reading the paper on the back deck we saw another new bird - a tiny yellow/green bird with a long beek that we can't yet identify in the bird book! I don't know why it is so nice - mebe cause when we get home and are stressed with work/traffic etc and see the honeyeaters swooping in the pool it just puts a nice perspective on our problems.
Stella
btw we also had a black cockatoo fly over the house today. And just last week I was driving back from visiting clients and stopped the car - two giant birds of prey just circling in the sky......wonderful!

Food -Moreton Bay Bugs
Sport - Cricket - could someone give Shane my mobile number please?
Animals - the strange creatures (someone said it may be koalas?) that make spooky screaming noises out on the lawn in the dark
A Beach - The Neck on Bruny Island is my favourite, complete with Fairy penguins, or Wineglass Bay, or the beach at Stanley.....runs for miles, really peaceful
A place - Queenstown in Tassie - weird landscape, beautiful surrounding scenery, or Port Arthur - odd eerie atmosphere and very very atmospheric
Lager - Cascade Premium
Wine - Yellowglen Pink - sparkling wine, someone tell me how many bottles I drank last night
....I'll come up with some more later I'm sure
