Congratulations Sarah!

Really good to see a positive post from someone who's actually there. Thanks especially for the info on the mortgage - sounds ideal for immigrants.

Good luck with everything and all the best for the future

Steve.

When I came over, I got a job in my first week and had changed it twice before the first year was out to get better money. Now? Well, my university educated kids have left for better lives elsewhere and apart from missing them I am glad they have.

Smell of an oily rag. Even Aussies haven't demonstrated free energy yet but a few have sold it.

What part of "the modern economy" is not a bit of a con?

Very true some bigger than others?

Someone at the collapsed King Bros bus company created a phantom fleet of nearly 300 luxurious buses to defraud the National Australia Bank out of nearly $100 million, the Supreme Court heard yesterday.

Anthony Patrick King, 41, the one-time millionaire playboy managing director of the company, appeared before a court registrar to be questioned by the receiver of the company, which collapsed in April with debts of $220 million.

Mr King denied that he had forged and duplicated the details of nearly half the company's bus fleet to deceive the NAB and two other finance companies into purchase-and-leaseback agreements.

Barrister Jeremy Stoljar told the hearing that 283 of the $300,000 buses "simply did not exist".
