hi does anyone know were are the best beaches around Brisbane area, were flying to mo for 2 week validation trip...?

If you can get to the GC then do, all the beaches are fab....Rainbow Bay was my favourite...... C x

Technically there are no beaches in Brisbane, unless you count the one at Southbank. If you are after something quiet for the family, the closest would be at Suttons Beach at Redcliffe. All the other major ones are at least an hours drive away, and at this time of year are overrun with school-leavers.

Must admit Surfers get's a huge vote from me - loved it there, also Kings Beach at Caloundra (sunshine coast) was lovely. Enjoy your reccie it's fab there.

We did a reccie including 10 days on the Gold Coast. My boys were 5 & 9 at the time.
Fab beaches & loads of parks (under cover - good) - barbies to use FREE everywhere!
