It is really good. I really hope that the TV company doesn't give up on it as they seem to do with so many shows these days. Maybe the short season is a better idea than some 25 episode monstrosity.

Finished watched it last night - great stuff although the last episode was a bit stupid. Looking forward to series 2 which will have 12 episodes

The episode from the 5th April wasn't the new series according to my OH, he'd already seen it, so I take it the new series will be starting soon, can't find anything on the internet just...

Are you sure that your other half hasn't already seen the second series? I've just had a look at the info for the episode on UKTV next Tuesday and it matches the description of Episode 2 of Series 2

I believe one won't be. But there's always the orignal Survivors @ a tax free 16 squid and with free postage. Cheaper than a visit to an Aussie cinema.

Sons and I reckon its better than the new series. I'm kinda surprised the boys thought that cos it's usually difficult to get them to watch anything from "the olden ages" (pre-1995) let alone enjoy it!

Looks like a cross between V and The Survivors but it might be worth a watch:

Falling Skies

Watched the first episode of this last night. It aired in the UK in Feb. Clearly done on a low budget but it looked kind of promising

Oooh, that does look good. Sort of like Earth 2, only hopefully with an actual story line and some decent special effects...

May have to fire up the torrent client...

And also don't forget Falling Skies coming up in the US on the 19th June. Looks good too.

Is this what you are talking about? I haven't seen any of it as we only use our TV for dvds (for obvious reasons). Worth getting?
