Bank recommendation?

Bank recommendation?
Anyone have any recommendations outside of the Big Four?
Looking for a provider of low cost basic services.
Don't need a physical branch.
Couple I've been looking at are ING Direct and ME Bank.
If you look at online reviews it seems that most banks get a slating but I suppose that is because disgruntled customers are more likely to bother making out reviews.

Have a look at Ubank (online NAB) it offers 4.02 interest on a current a/c with no fees. It's a bit complicated but it pays one of the best interest rates available anywhere in Oz.

One of our accounts is with bank of Queensland: they are rather like a franchise with local owner/managers. The staff in our branch know all the answers, totally unlike the Big Four, where you can ask five people and get seven answers.

Citibank. Very European style service with no fees. Visa debit card as standard on any current accounts and linked high interest account for saving. Very secure online access. Free currency transfers overseas and also free withdrawals from Citi ATMs anywhere in the world.
They use the Westpac/St George/SA Bank/Melbourne Bank ATM network for free cash withdrawals so there's always plenty of ATMs around.
Branch banking can be completed at any NAB branch (though I have never ever used this).
Been with them for 6 years after the disaster of HSBC and would recommend them to anybody.

Big fan of ING here. Can use any ATM (even the ones in pubs/convenience stores - you pay the fee and they refund you). Also get 2% cashback on all paypass under $100 (5% for first 6 months).
They have good phone customer service too. Whenever I've called have not had to wait and got good service.
