everything in Sydney is overpriced, If you like beer than expect to pay $12 a schooner in some places, Running a car is expensive too with toll roads everywhere and registration costs high. Honestly you would be better staying in Perth, I'm 26 and enjoy nightlife but compared to other cities i've lived (Berlin, Poznan, Stockholm) in the Sydney night life is pretty poor. Manly is good though :) |

My Balmain locals charge between $4.50 and $5.80 depending on where I go to. If you don't need a car much why not consider one of the car share companies, considerably cheaper than owning your own if you are only driving a few hours a week. |
