Back again

Hi everybody,
Haven't been on the forum much in the last 2-3 weeks. My partner was over from Aus and I hadn't seen him since April. We had a brilliant time together, but I had to take him to the airport on Sunday and say goodbye again. He couldn't stay longer than 2 weeks because of work commitments in Aus. We're missing each other so much already, again!
But there is progress. While he was over here in The Netherlands, we actually went over to the Australian embassy in The Hague and handed in my application for a spouse visa (de facto and front end loaded). We were given our file number and a standard letter that basically says 'don't call us, we'll call you'.
It's going to take 2-3 months on average to process (hopefully shorter for us, because we front end loaded) and it's only been 2 weeks. Hopefully we'll hear something in about 6 weeks or so.
Anyway, just wanted to say I'm back and thank everyone for their advice when I was still in the putting the file together phase.
Fingers crossed and congrats to all that got their visas while I was away.

Hi J&K,
Know only too well how you feel - my Bloke is here in the UK for the first time - here for a month, my Pros Marriage Visa already granted so I shall be following him to Brisbane in October.
So glad you had a good time...!!!
Good luck with the visa, let us know what happens!!
Sam & Andy,
Basically front end loaded means you get your police checks and medicals done and enclose them with the application, so the visa can be granted without DIMIA coming back and asking for more papers. Not much good for skills visas I gather, but excellent for Partner ones.
