Baby on the way
Dear all,
My wife got a spouse visa to migration a few months ago. Soon after this success we found out that she was pregnant (currently 3.5 months gone). We are moving out to Sydney at the start of December (only 8.5 weeks to go, yay) but know nothing about the healthcare system over there.
We don't know if we need to have already booked a hospital, ante-natal classes, etc - she will be around 6.5 months pregnant when we arrive so are worried about our options and that we could be cutting it fine to get these things sorted out.
Does anyone have any links/info/advice re: pregnancy and maternity in Australia.
Also, because my wife will be on a spouse visa, will this affect our entitlement to the baby bonus and other child benefits (I am an Australian citizen by birth)?
Thanks,
Scott
