Question Baby Milk & Food

We fly out end of December and trying to get all prepared!

Just wondering if you take jars of baby food and cartons of formula milk will we need to declare this at customs?

We are planning on bringing a few cartons of milk and a large carton of powdered milk as well as baby jars. Will it cause a problem?

Cheers

The baby milk - as long as its in those sealed cartons - shouldn't be a problem.

Same with baby food - just dispose of all those half empty jars with the airline and you should be OK. Selaed food does not seem to be a problem.

When we went to Oz last year the only cause for concern was soiled nappies. The dog sniffed them out as they thought it was brought in food.

Jars got through OK

Cheers Laura & Des.

Another thing less to worry about.

It was funny about the nappies although I bet it wasn't at the time.

It wasn't too bad. I felt sorry for the officials who had to check it :scared:

You need to declare ALL food items at Customs

Declare everything, it's so much easier.

We went through customs at Adelaide this month and the quarantine inspector studied the labels on the baby milk powder very carefully. It was given an OK because it was made in NZ. They also OKayed powdered baby rice cereal that was made in NZ.
