we will have to just wait and hope that we will have enough points in the future. i am going to have to resist from looking at all the info on aus. and checking this site each day for hints and tips or else the next 3/5 years will be a nightmare for all concerned. and then we possibly might not get in...... jayne. |
Re: Average Age of Immigrants
Both 30 when we applied, 31 when we got PR and moved to Oz, 33 when we came back and will be 35-36 if/when we go back again!

(Altho you would need to make a trip to Oz to at least validate - usually 12 months from date of issue (sometimes less). (Sorry if I'm repeating stuff that you already know!!) :) Good luck
now we know that you have to validate the visa's within 10/12 months of issue/checks so we are going to wait to apply for them when we are almost there financially (sp?) so when they are issued we can just start the process of going over asap. the reason also being that we cant/dont want to spend almost £3,000 on flights and then the cost of a holiday on top out of our savings. for a family of 4 i can imagine that the holiday would be a huge expense. sounds crazy i know that we have never been over there and are willing to move over without visiting the place but at the end of the day we only live once and if it doesnt work out we can always come back.... so sorry to ramble on and on and on....... well there you go....that is my reasons behind the plan....for now any way. |
Re: Average Age of Immigrants

Re: Average Age of Immigrants
I'm 55 years young so by the looks of it one of the oldest to take the plunge but not as risky as it sounds as Ive been over on lots of holidays and my daughter and grand children are in Perth already. :D
