I though this was an interesting snippet also. Very optimistic. Although I wouldn't believe it myself in WA!

Good news...!

But the score itself shows you how much further the Government could go by cutting back the regulations and taxes. Indeed, high tax rates in Australia give it a fiscal freedom score below the world average.

Let's hope so...

Yes, when I read the regulations bit I thought...."Ahhh! know it well". Not quite sure how this squares with a free economy though.

All the Aussies I know just chuck their hands in the air and curse whenever the rules/regs/licences, etc get mentioned and hope that sooner or later someone will see some sense... I'm hoping that JH and his boys will continue to poke their noses into the affairs of the states; I just feel there's a much better chance of getting some of the silliness here removed with that scenario...
