Australians call it CV or a Resume?
Hi there,
Just got a very simple question. When applying for a job or for immigrations purposes, the word CV or Resume is more common in Australia? I think in UK they call it CV what do you think about Australia? Please advise! Thanks! :) |

We call it both, but the contents are actually that of a CV rather than a resume!
The standard practice in Oz is for the document to be long - effectively an educational & working life story - rather than a 2 page summary (ie resume). |

Definitely resume.

Keep your CV short and sweet - 2 pages is enough. I review CVs all the time unfortunately and long CVs are a real turn off.
I actually think CVs are a waste of time - but that's another story. |
