Australian Wildlife
Hi All
Living where we do on the Sunshine Coast, up in the hinterland countryside, we're surrounded by lots and lots of wildlfe. It occured to me the other day that the senses go into overload with the dawn chorus. Booby, Drongo, Pardalote, Currawong, Rifle, Frogmouth and of course the Kookaburra are just some of the birds found in Australia. Noisy blighters but generally more colourful and braver than the euro types.
For anyone interested in what Aussie birds sound like I've discovered a neat site - hours of fun for the kids, or the kid within!

Re: Australian Wildlife
You're welcome.
There's some animal sounds there too and I've discovered another one, but lost it again!
We have a Spotted Catbird in the rainforest! For weeks we've been thinking it's a crying baby animal but when you hear it it's quite unmistakeable, and a little bizarre.
I'll post the other site when I find it.

Try http://www.birdsaustralia.com.au/calls.html
The sites really good on colour and images, unlike the abc one.
Enjoy!
