Australian Travelodge ?

Australian Travelodge ?
Is there an Australian equivalent to the UK chain of " travelodge " and "travelinn " ? Have to attend family wedding in Sydney next year and accomadation suggested VERY expensive !

In Melbourne anyway they have some cheap travelodge type hotels called (I think) F1 or something like that. I saw one at the airport and another on Sydney road and they are $59 per ROOM which can't be too bad. I don't know if they're in Sydney though!

The Formula1 chain is VERY basic and you'll find the rooms chokker with thongs, cases of stubbies and howling kids.
We stay at the Warringah Travelodge: clean, comfortable and basic yet not TOO basic if you know whet I mean. Good buses/taxis to the Manly ferry.
The city hotels are quite a bit more but of course are mostly higher standard. I can recommend the Intercon.
