Default Australian Student Bank Accounts

I was wondering if anybody could suggest which bank would be best to go with for a Student bank account. I don't have the first clue about Australian banks, about the only thing I have to go on is that there are charges for basic bank accounts unlike there currently is in the UK.

Cheers,
Gary

As a student you will have fee free banking - you just need to show them your student card each year. I'm with ANZ and very happy with them. Just set it up when you arrive.

I would think most banks have no account fees for students, I know the Commonwealth don't charge as I was a student when we first came over, just had to show them my student card.

That sounds good then. Will have to check them out when I'm there.
