Australian house codes
Bit of a blonde question. On the various real estate websites they have various codings for the houses.
What does DHA mean. And all the other codes that I've seen before but can't blo**dy find now to cut & paste here.

Re: Australian house codes
DHA is usually Defence Housing Australia, they homes leased to Defence Force members. Normally it will say something like "2 year DHA Lease, with an option for 3 more" or similar.
Basically these are investment properties as you can't live in them until the lease is up. The benefit is that the landlord receives income even when the property is empty, as well as having the home redecorated and repaired at the end of the lease.
Hope this wasn't too much info...
Others you may see are DLUG - Double lock up garage, SLUG - single... WIR - Walk in 'Robe, BIR - Built in 'Robes. and lots more...

Re: Australian house codes
If it is marked for sale. I take it its for sale like any other private house. No strings attached anywhere.

Re: Australian house codes
4x2 = 4 Bedroom, 2 bathroom
1.5 bathroom = 1 Bathroom with bath, and 1 separate toilet or shower room
IGP = In ground pool (i.e. level with the ground surface)
BIR = Built in robe (wardrobe)
WIR = Walk in robe (bigger than a wardrobe)
ENS or E/S = ensuite (bathroom to main bedroom)
A/C = air conditioning
R/C A/C = reverse cycle (blows cold or hot) air conditioning
Needs TLC = needs tender loving care (its a dump)

Re: Australian house codes
no you will find many properties for sale Either DHA or just rented, and they are for sale with the tennents "in situ" and you could not take vacant posession untill the term of the lease is up
