McDonald's. :D or any other American junk food you would think so these days. :( What about ' Damper' its an Australian style of bread developed in colonial times by stockmen in the bush. Made out of Flour , water and salt.
Also what about Vegemite.

Obviously these meats are indigenous. What about stuff that is created?

Not so sure they have anything Aussie as it's so multi cultural here. Had great kebabs but they're Turkish/Greek, had great fish n chups but they're UK, had fabulous Pizza but that's Italian.....so not sure what is Australian to be honest  Maybe a true blue Aussie on here can tell you ;)

Re my signature: No.....it's not true. I'm British myself :p

It's an Oscar Wilde quote. If you know anything about Oscar Wilde it's that he usually rebelled against the "norm". If he didn't believe in something he would say so. He didn't believe in pacifying people just to be accepted :p

I imagine he quoted the British as in those days people didn't travel much [although he did].

....do you think a multi-cultural society is good for Australia?...or do you think it will wreck the place ?

I mean I went to Sydney a few years ago, and although it claims to be multi-cultural like Britain and many other places claim. The reality was different ethnic groups kept to themsleves in their own enclaves and hence it's not really multi-cultural. We have the same problem here in Britain, Asians in one part of the country, Whites in another, Blacks in another, etc...its like several different countries and few people mix except for business.

Yep. IMHO multi cultural is good for all societies. Variety is the spice of life :D

Reality is that different societies feel more at ease in their own groups.

Maybe we should spend more time learning respect for each others differences rather than trying to force integration

It's more important that we respect each others values than concentrate on bloody colour. We all bleed red :p

Anyways....that's off topic....so stop being naughty :p
