Yeah, when I go to holland I wear cloggs, and before I go to Germany I let my body hair grow - no razors for me! Au naturel!

And when I go to sweden I become a porn star

It's all about blending in, like the immigrants do here....

imanaussie is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Australian Attitudes II

Im a born and bred Aussie and if other Aussies are like me, they would have no idea what the top you are wearing meant. I would have no idea what an English, Irish, Scottish, whatever, sports top looked like and if I did see a team name on the actual top, would I give a shite?????........Nooooooo!
I honeslty dont think Aussies care less what sports top you like to wear from overseas.

Now if you were to wear an Aussie AFL or Rugby top then yeah, I might notice then because it means something to me. Im female though so maybe an Aussie male feels differently, but I doubt it.

Completely off track here but hi to Carnoustie folk! My dad is from there and Carnoustie was our annual holiday while I was growing up! Then when we lived in Perth the pals we made were from Carnoustie!

Just to add to general discussion that I find all football/ rugby/ sports tops are hideous no matter what nationality is wearing them! The only time I find them acceptable is when people are watching a big match and supporting their team. The shiny type tops are especially revolting!

I've stopped wearing national rugby tops since I moved to Melbourne and would never wear a national top of Australia or England now. I'm a bit over all that now. I still own a old SA top (don't ask) which I wear at home. I do have a NSW super 12 top but that is more club, if province, than national.

I think soccer tops are particularly hideous and do chavs no favours at all.

I wore my England top on Australia Day this year. Like to remind the locals what they are celebrating.

When I read of such unfortunate incidents, I immediately think of that old saying . . 'there but for the grace of god go I'.

I hope you are going to improve your standards once you move to Sydney, otherwise Sydneysiders will know you're from Adelaide
