Australian Army
My husband is in the British Army and we want to emigrate to Oz, so are looking into doing this by simply transferring to the Oz Army. Has anyone ever done this or know someone who has? What is life like in the Australian Army? It seems the simplest way to get in as we would come to a guaranteed job, house and have help with all the forms! If anyone can offer any advice on this it would be really great to hear from you.

The possibility for transfer does exist but you will have to satisfy normal immigration and ADF entry requirements, plus it depends on service requirements.
PS: Can't tell you whether you can retain current rank or if you would at best revert to private or do basic over again.

Other arms, it depends on what the Australian Army needs at the time.
