Looking to emigrate with wife and 2 kids (age 3 and 4). Can't decide where to go but quite struck on Auckland.

Little bit worried about the NZ earthquakes, are they bad?

I am an electrical/electronic field service engineer with no particular bias (will work any industry with a little product training) will there be potential of plenty of work in NZ or would an Australian city be a better choice.

Any help would be much appreciated?
