hello all,
i keep hearing/reading that australia is 8 years behind the uk.is this in everything or just certain things,is it true at all :scared:

not true. They're actually about 9hrs ahead (7 in Perth)

Hope so .Here is what we do- get down the local TAB bet heavily on Australia for the 1999 Rugby World Cup followed by England for the 2003 WRC.

That's crap at most it's only 7 yrs, Queensland however is at least 27 though, it's 20 yrs behind the rest of Australia

I suppose some of the attitudes are - refreshingly - behind the UK (!) But Australia has mobiles, ADSL, notebook PCs...I read somewhere that Australia is actually quite quick to pick up on new technology but there are always caveats with that.
