Default Aussie Passports

Can anyone help?

My two daughters have just been given their Australian By Descent certificates (2.5 years old and 10 months old). We want to get their passports before we migrate in October.

Do they have to be present at the 'interview' for first passport, or can I, as their father, represent them (I am a UK passport holder having been granted a spouse sponsored visa in May)?

What we don't want to do is to have the whole family go down to AHC in London if I can do it on my own.

Thanking you in advance for help. Keep up the good work.

I did my two sons by going into London myself with the paperwork but I didn't take the kids- and all was OK Hope this helps.
