You are treated as a resident for tax purposes on a 457 Visa.

Please do a search on this site and also review LAFHA payment opportunities on a 457. The ATO or a tax advisor is possible the best place to get clarification of any technical points you may require.

Cheers

If you are here on a 457 then you are a resident for tax purposes. When you arrive you will need to get a Tax File Number (TFN) which is a simple process and during that it will all become self explanatory.
