Default aus phone numbers

Hi does anyone know is it possible to retreive the previous tenants phone number after you have moved into a new place without going through telstra optus etc. As the phone is connected and i only wish to recieve calls on the number without being charged connections fees for doing this, regards

The previous tennant would have notified their phone co. and you will have to pay to have it connected again

I don't think anyone likes paying connection fees, however that's life and unfortunately that's the way it is. Get a skype number if you only want to receive free calls.

If it's not disconnected have they just done a runner? You may end up getting a HUGE bill

I don't think I'd use it

Try ringing a mobile from it and see if the number comes up on the screen?

Get a new phone connection and new number if you have moved into a new unit.
