ATM fees in Australia...
... when using a UK VISA credit card to withdraw cash. I was charged $4 by BankSA yesterday. Do we know if there are any banks which don't charge a fee or charge a smaller one?

It will depend who issued the VISA card, check with them if they have any relationships with banks in Aus.

Re: ATM fees in Australia...
Thanks to you both. This is a legacy MBNA card which charges no foreign currency conversion fee or foreign cash advance fee. We've just got back from Asia, where some banks charged a cash machine fee and some didn't. I don't know why I was surprised to be charged a fee in Australia but I was.... I'll get in touch with MBNA and see what they say.
